religious guilt

This collection draws from the lasting influence of religion, one of the oldest forces shaping human identity across cultures. At its core, my collection examines the expectations placed on women within these spaces. From an early age, many are taught that to be worthy is to be pure, restrained, and “holy,” a standard that often follows them throughout their lives. This work questions that idea, challenging the belief that purity must exist without sensuality. Instead, it embraces the coexistence of both. Inspired by the weight of religious guilt, this collection reflects the tension between what women are taught to be and what they are naturally allowed to feel, reclaiming that duality as something powerful rather than shameful.
