Vivian’s design process is both analytical and intuitive, balancing careful attention to detail with space for experimentation and spontaneity, allowing meaning to emerge through both deliberate decisions and unexpected moments. This approach informs Camargue, a five-look collection that entwines Romantic ideals with the living traditions of Filipino heritage. Rooted in the Romantic pursuit of sublime landscapes and the individual’s desires and fears, each piece channels memory, legacy, and pride into free-flowing forms. Using natural materials such as linen, raw silk, and cotton, and embellished with paper thread crafted from abaca fiber, Camargue reflects her ongoing dialogue with lived experience, honoring both personal and collective identity.
